August 5 Update – Less than a Week to Race Day

With less than a week until race day, the start list is still in flux with some last minute cancelations.

If you are registered, but do not plan on participating, please inform the registration people. Just respond to your wave assignment email. The race is still overbooked. The race organizers are still counting on being notified of a few more cancellations.

If there is a theme to this year, it is the Year of the First-Timer and Out-of-Stater.

Welcome to all!

Have an adventuresome and successful 2013 Ridge Run!

Race and Weather Forecast

Usually I would make an attempt to forecast what to expect from the competition. This year, there are many potentially fast runners that I am not familiar with at all. So I don’t think I could do justice to a forecast of the competition. There could be some surprise performances, especially for the women.

The long term weather forecast for this weekend looks like typical Montana weather for August: Cool nights, warm days and chance of afternoon thunderstorms. As race day draws near, keep your eyes on the weather and dress accordingly.
