Question: What can I do to guarantee I get in this year’s Ridge Run?

Short answer, there is nothing you can do to guarantee your entry.

But there are a few things you can do to improve your chances such as:

  • Follow the registration rules.
  • Provide a working email address with your lottery entry that you check.
  • Don’t pester the registration people.
  • When submitting your lottery registration, include an honest, inspiring, succinct reason for doing the race.

Charitable Fundraising Entries

There are some guaranteed entries that are offered as auction items or raffle prizes by local charities. In the past the Museum of the Rockies, Reach, and Eagle Mount offered this and may be worth checking. It may end up costing you substantially more than the standard registration fee, but perhaps it is worth it to you.

Plan for Future Year Volunteer Work

Not for this year, so do not bug anyone about it, but perhaps for next year, 2013, you can do some volunteer work that could help get you in. Plan way ahead and network with those that already volunteer.
