Updates End of May

Lottery Status

The Lottery closed Sunday night. There were 478 signups. Over the next week this gets whittled down to 300 during the selection process. Best of fortune to everyone that wants to participate in the 2011 Ridge Run.

Course Conditions

Cold and wet has been the theme this spring. And it is getting frustratingly monotonous. Snow is for skiing on, not running. And I want to do some running! Yesterday, Memorial Day, I went for a jaunt up the M trail. It was snowing and raining lightly. There were a few inches of new snow starting above the Bridger Canyon Overlook Point. The old snow began another 500 feet higher in elevation at around 7,000 feet. A course free of snow is still in the distant future.
