Course Conditions Mid May

Snow pack in the Bridger range is more than twice the historical average for this time of year. From the College M Trail Head up to Bridger Canyon Overlook, the trail is nearly free of snow. The picture below is of the Bridger Canyon Overlook point.

Just a little way past Bridger Canyon Overlook, the trail gets mostly snow packed. In many places, I was post holing through rotten deep snow. My knees and shins got a bit beat up. The picture below is from the first point you can view the route to Baldy. There is less snow than two weeks ago, but still a lot of snow.
